Cosy Language Learning
Learning a language from the comfort of your own couch at home
or by traveling to its country without feeling alone
ABOUT ME
Hey everyone! My name is Johanna. I was born in November 1998 and live in Berlin, Germany. My two big passions are teaching and travelling. I speak German (native), English (C1) and Spanish (B1). Are you interested in learning German or English from the comfort of your own home? Or do you prefer learning a language by traveling to its country? I offer both!

How it all started and my guiding teaching values
“Johanna, do you want to become a teacher in the future?” I got asked that question for the first time when I was only 10 years old. My primary school teachers just knew that I loved standing in front of the class. In 9th grade I had my first working experience in a primary school. At only 15 years old I was teaching first graders English, German and PE.
That same year I also started tutoring. Seeing a student understand what I have just explained to him, seeing his eyes shine, and realizing that it just clicked in his head is the best feeling in the world. Seeing my students being proud of themselves for understanding something or getting a great mark makes my heart melt.
Later I discovered my love for traveling. That is why I decided to study tourism and event management instead of something in the education field. While studying I was still tutoring.
In my 6th semester of university, I got an internship in Malta for 6 months to work at the reception in a language school. I stopped tutoring and focused on my career. Working at reception, I was in contact with students at the language school daily. Even though I was working at reception all day, you always found me in the study room at night, helping all the students with their English homework. A few months later I graduated university and I knew that I wanted to teach. I started looking up different courses to get a certification for teaching German or English worldwide in private schools or institutions. And that is how I found out about the Meddeas program and started teaching German in Spain. While working in a Spanish school I was taking online classes to get a TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language certificate) and the DLL Standard (teaching German certificate). Being a language assistant is an experience I will never forget. I reinforced my passion for teaching, and I realized that I do not want to do anything else for the rest of my life. And here I am, starting my own business.
